COMING UP AT THE SEC:
The State Equestrian Centre was built in 1985 with funding provided by the Federal and State governments as well as private enterprises. The $12million property is home to a broad range of equestrian sports such as dressage, show jumping, eventing, hacking, breed shows, polocrosse, clinics, harness driving, natural horsemanship and western activities.
Our property includes an outstanding 70mx30m indoor arena with a seating capacity of 2000, including a private box area, conference room and bar which all overlook the arena. Furthermore we have four outdoor arenas: the International Arena (60mx35m), the new 80mx8om C-Quest arena, the RDA arena and the warm up arena right next to the indoor arena. The extensive 25 acre level grass regions make for our temporary outdoor dressage arenas and show jumping rings. The Swan Fields also offer opportunity for riding and are regularly used for Pony Club and shows. A polocrosse field and an international two star cross country course complete with a derby bank and water jump make up the rest of the impressive grounds.
The venue can also provide caravan and camping sites, a combined caravan/truck site, general and accessible amenities, a kitchen, dining and recreation facilities as well as 147 stables.
We have the facilities to offer a relaxing and picturesque venue for hosting conferences, meetings and further training for corporate groups with our upstairs conference room and bar area. If you are seeking somewhere different and refreshing for your business meetings, the SEC will be more than happy to assist in accommodating you.
If you are thinking of holding your event at our beautiful centre, or to book an arena for private use, have a look at our venue on this website. Here you can find all the documents for private and commercial venue hire, as well as a link to our stable booking system form. If you have any questions, feel free to phone the office to speak to our friendly staff, who would be more than happy to assist you.
