The State Equestrian Centre was built in 1986 with its primary focus being a commitment to help develop elite sport and athletes in their pursuit of equestrian excellence. Now, we are committed to excellence across a myriad of activities - from elite sport to grass root development, functions and events to health and fitness. Our commitment to members and patrons of the State Equestrian Centre is ongoing - we will continue to develop strategies, products, services and facilities that reinforce our promise - Committed to Excellence.

The State Equestrian Centre is the Western Australian State facility for all equestrian sports in the metropolitan are of Perth as identified by the Department of Sport and Recreation. The State Equestrian Centre management has been under the control of the Western Australian Branch of the Equestrian Federation of Australia since 1987.

The Centre offers all equestrian disciplines a venue to host national and international competitions and exhibitions. It supports young riders and elite development squads by offering the facility throughout the year at cost effective rates. It provides international standard training facilities for all equestrian disciplines as well as tracks and bridle paths for recreational riders and keenly supports western events such as rodeos.

The aims of the State Equestrian Centre are to:

  1. Provide the finest equestrian venue for all uses in Western Australia
  2. Assist in the development of equestrian sport in Western Australia
  3. Maintain a sound financial business model allowing for major maintenance and capital investment
  4. Develop strategic alliances with stakeholders
  5. Give priority to State and National events and increase usage by clients, event organisers and competitors
  6. Assist in Attracting high profile equestrian events to Western Australia
